The last Thursday Night Social Ride of the year happens TONIGHT! Mr. Acker is leading the charge, the weather looks to be amazing, and one of my northside shops is providing prize support for the games, so be sure to get your ass out there tonight. Be at Plaza Saltillo around 7pm to meet the beginning of the ride, or look at the route to catch us on the way...
Alright. It's almost Thursday. It's the last TNSR of 2010. It's late December but it feels like early April. It's supposed to be in the mid 70's on Thursday! Kick off your NYE party weekend with the people you ride/party with every Thursday. We have a nice ride, some games, prizes and a free keg then cheap beer at Valhalla.
ROUTE: CHECK BACK FOR THE ROUTE LINK We'll have a mid point park stop at Zaragosa Park (map:http://tinyurl....com/384g3mn) for some hanging out and games.
WHERE AND WHEN: Our winter time meeting place, Plaza Saltillo (map: http://tinyurl.com/26vcmbf) at 7pm. We will hang out for some social time, then take off at around 7:30pm.
WHAT: It's a bike ride with a requisite park stop, hanging with your 200 favorite Thursday night friends and an after party at the Valhalla (http://www.facebook.com/valhallatavern). HOW: Social Cycling Austin rides AS traffic and NOT AGAINST it. We stop at red lights, yield the right of way and let cars pass as best we can. We are cool to both our fellow riders and the other traffic on the road. Listen up to those volunteers who are helping to lead the ride. They are some nice folks and have you best interest in mind.
WHAT YOU NEED: LIGHTS, LIGHTS, LIGHTS, a lock, a valid ID for the after party and money for TIPS and fun at the after party.
