I'm of the opinion that the earth does not need us to survive. We may kill off some animals, we may kill off some plants, we may kill off ourselves, but no matter what we do or who we nuke the planet will go on living.

Irrespective of what I think, I know a bunch of you are crunchy hippies and love the word "sustainability", so this upcoming event looks to be right up y'alls alley:

At The Hundred Acre Wood

The Sustainable Living Road Show is a caravan of educators and entertainers who tour the country in a fleet of renewable fuel vehicles setting up off-the-grid eco-carnivals with experiential learning villages, empowering communities to utilize sustainable living strategies for a healthier planet.

This tour Features: Live Music, Entertainment, Puppetry Theater, Poetry Slams, Eco-Fashion Shows, Green Building Options, Clean Energy Showcase, Workshops, Educational Speakers, Recycled Art Garden, Natural Healing Pharmacy, Organic Food Market, Green Film Fest, Kid’s Learning Center, Cycle ride out.
Suggested Donation: $5 per day.

Stay for a Dance After Party and Overnight Camping under the stars- Saturday, October 11th. Join us for yoga in the morning. $15

The Hundred Acre Wood is a beautiful outdoor retreat Located 20 miles East of downtown Austin. It is available for fairs, festivals, private parties and retreats. We are cooperating to create an infrastructure for events as well as community projects geared toward renewable energy and sustainable practices. www.thehundredacrewoodevents.com

Cyclists are required to wear a helmet to join this ride. If you need to borrow a helmet, please request on when you register. The Hundred Acre Wood will happily haul out cyclists camping gear.
