Social Cycling ATX and Drunk Dial present: Thursday Night Social Ride - BRING ON THE SEQUINS!
Woah. Tonight's TNSR is going to be out of control:
This coming Thursday is gonna be offa da chain more than usual!
TNSR is hooking up with Drunk Dial (http://www.facebook.com/drunkdrunkdrunk) to bring what might be the world's first sex/ love/ sass advice talk show on bikes. I'm waiting for Guinness to get back to me on that one. The Drunk Dial ladies will be on the ride in a chariot offering advice, gossip and plenty of sass to all who ride up and ask questions and will provi...de us with endless mobile entertainment! Get out to some thrift stores this weekend and get your SEQUINS on because this ride is gonna SPARKLE! Sequins, ball gowns, wedding dresses, tuxedos, whatever just plan on looking GOOD!
We'll be wrapping up the ride at Uncle Billy's on Barton Springs for hanging out and drinking a keg courtesy of the people who are lobbying for microbrew freedom for our Texas breweries (http://www.facebook.com/TexasBeerFreedom or google 'Texas HB 660' for more info), then Uncle Billy's will be providing us with cheap beers for the remainder of the evening.
ROUTE: TBA, but will be shorter than usual since we'll have pedicabs riding with us.
WHERE AND WHEN: Our winter time meeting place, Plaza Saltillo (map: http://tinyurl.com/26vcmbf) at 7pm. We will hang out for some social time, then take off at 7:30pm.
WHAT: A bike ride with a bunch of your favorite Thursday Night Bike Friends. We ride, we hang out at parks then we go have some beers.
HOW: Social Cycling Austin rides AS traffic and NOT AGAINST it. We stop at red lights, yield the right of way and let cars pass as best we can. We are cool to both our fellow riders and the other traffic on the road. Listen up to those volunteers who are helping to lead the ride. They are some nice folks and have you best interest in mind.
WHAT YOU NEED: LIGHTS, LIGHTS, LIGHTS, a lock, a valid ID for the after party and money for TIPS and fun at the after party.
