New Idea: Istanbul Ride 2012

Greetings to all yee cyclo-zealots. It is I, el_fierro_maldito, who wishes to make a suggestion for something dairing, something bold, something that could well be done.
The idea is simple, get your bikes on a plane, get your butt on the plane, and get to Istanbul and ride around Istanbul's ancient city streets and then take some busses to ride around in other cities. I would like to bring a group of people. Hopefully, five young lads would like to take a Ride in Summer or Spring of 2012. But if I at least get three other people then that is good enough.

Any participants? There are lots of hills, theres some rain, wonderful breeze, lots of traffic, lots of congestion and best of all, great food. If you know Turkish then that is a bonus, if you don't, well don't worry, I can translate a bit and most people know English. I like to start plans early.

I would like to take some rides around Istanbul but riding to some nice cities like Izmir wouldn't be a bad idea. Lodging, well, we could stay at a hostel in Galatasaray or at student housing (at the kindness of students) in Rumelihisarustu near Bosphorus University.
