The Yellow Bike Project is celebrating a big milestone this weekend; namely their 14th birthday and the first chance to celebrate the occasion in their new permanent facility!

Mark your calendars for the social event of the season! 14 years! First anniversary of our permanent home at 1216 Webberville! So much to celebrate!

Come on out to the shop for a day of FREE fun for everyone. And when we say fun for everyone, believe us, we really mean it. For children, we've got the best birthday present ever - 50 free kids' bikes for the first 50 kids! For the whole family, we've got contra-dancing - thin...k square dancing, but not so L-7. For grown-ups, we've got cold refreshment courtesy of Real Ale. For hungry Texans, we've got barbecue from Ruby's. For eardrums, we've got Hex Dispensers, Mole People, Bike Problems, the Vommettes, and Cominatcha.

Not enough excitement for you? We're also going to be raffling off every utilitarian cyclist's dream - a one-of-a-kind cargo bike, hand-built by Austin Bike Zoo wizard Jeremy Rosen! Raffle tickets are $10 each, and you can purchase them in advance at austinyellowbike.org. Come on out to the shop and help us make this the best birthday ever!

Drop by 1216 Webberville from 4pm this Saturday till whenever, and be prepared for a damn good time filled with booze, bands, good folk, and even free bikes for the first 50 kiddos, so bring them youngsters! Damn, I'm bummed I'm gonna be missing this. Have a good time for me ya'll.
