Personally I think that term is the bike version of "paradigm" and "synergy", but you're a bunch of bike geeks so I'm co-opting it anyways and applying it to the weather, because the weather really is that badass right now.

I just got finished riding in to work and I've gotta say, if you aren't on a bike this morning in Austin, Texas, I feel so sorry for you. It's 53 degrees and BEAUTIFUL out. I rode in shorts and a t-shirt and I barely broke a sweat the whole way, even when I was hammering it down Guadalupe and up (south) Lamar.

Seriously though, if you aren't riding your bike today before 10am you're really missing out. I took a few seconds' break at that new park by the long center to enjoy this view:

That alone made all the pain in the ass summer commuting totally worth it. I'm sure we're gonna see a couple more hot days (this is Texas and all) but I think the really brutal shit is behind us, at least for a few months. This is the time of year I look forward to since, oh, about April, and I'm going to take advantage of it the best way I know how. ON MY BIKE!

Being able to ride in such beautiful weather makes day to day worth living, fall brings back the joy of living in Texas. :)

This morning's ride was super nice. I even wore a sweatshirt. It was not so nice when I rode home just now, though. Not as hot as it has been, but 89 is pretty hot.

For this weekend, y'all, looks like it's gonna be balls hot again. Lows in the 70s and highs near 90. :( Enjoy the next couple days.

Dear Texas,

I hate you. Too bad I also love you, otherwise I'd be outta here.

Sincerely,
Jason

She's a fickle lady like that.

I thought you didn't have a camera....

I got to see the view, unfortunately I didn't take the picture. ;)

I still don't have a camera, let alone one that can shoot HDR photos like that one.

let you borrow mine for the race. It likes to work sometimes...but other times not...better than nothing. Also Jenn has a old phone that has a camera in it, I'm sure she'll let you borrow it.

That is a nice shot though.
