Hey there guys.. The bicyclist in this accident was my husband/partner Brian Birde-mann. He was headed west down MLK crossing over Red River. A Honda CRV was heading east on MLK and turning on an unprotected left at Red River.. She was supposed to yield to Brian's right of way, but didn't. He t-boned her passenger side. He is now in a rehabilitation hospital with a traumatic brain injury and ptsd amnesia. He also had to have plastic surgery on his right eye and is lucky it wasn't damaged. I was just yesterday given a copy of the crash report. I have set up a donation paypal account for him.. My boyfriend was on the this past Thursday social and was hit a bit after he broke off from the ride. He was lucky to only have a broken leg, but he was peeled off the roof/window/hood of the car by paramedics. He got out Saturday, but with a titanium rod through his femur. It was btw MLK and red river (10:27-10:41). Anyhow, the cops obviously have a bias against bikers. Their main questions by all the cops we talked to were, was he on the social. I wasn't there, so can you spread the word and see if anyone saw anything. A couple girls were there and helped out, but I could use their statement. What's up with the lights down there? He was also taken to Brackenridge.
