10/18/2008 - 1:00pm

This year Maker Faire is happening out at the Travis County Expo Center on Decker Ln. It's a ways out east of town and is a bit of a trek to get to by bike. Luckily, some guy named Larry is organizing a ride out there on Saturday, so if you want to caravan over with a crowd of cyclists, meet up on the Capital steps at 1:00pm this Saturday. The ride gets underway at around 1:30pm so try to be moderately on time and remember to bring flashy lights if you're going to be coming back into town after dark.

P.S. Here's a map of Maker Faire. It gives you a good idea of how AWESOME this thing is gonna be:

I think the easiest way to go is 51st to Loyola to Decker, right? 9 miles sounds about right. i think we took the scenic route last time we went there:)

Hey, I'm working at it and will be rolling out there some time in the 9am hour if anyone is going earlier. Text me if you want to ride together 828-301-8477 or email kps2420 at yahoo dot com.

Also, its hardly 25 miles, maybe you meant 25 minutes? It's closer to 9 miles one way.

Cheers, see ya out there, I'll be working in the swap-o-rama tent tomorrow

Kevin
