You are hereMerry Christmas, snow is weird.
Merry Christmas, snow is weird.
First off, Merry Christmas kiddos. Here's to hoping that there are lots of nice shiny bike parts under the tree for you this year.
So this is my first posting from PORTLAND! I haven't gotten a chance to do any biking yet due to familial obligations and the pervasive 8 inches of snow, but I have done some exploring as well as some SLEDDING! I gave a snowboard a shot and promptly ejected myself trying to jump a launch. D'oh! It's been over a decade since I've had a white Christmas and lemme tell all y'all Texans, this shit is CRAZY! I love it!
Thanks to everybody's suggestions I have no end of things to check out during our stay in Portland. Though we're in a suburb (Beaverton to be exact, *snicker*) through tomorrow afternoon, Friday night through Sunday we're going to be spending in the city, seeing the sites and finding out why Portland is supposedly the cycling mecca of North America. The snow might put a bit of a damper on some of the plans (Critical Mass tomorrow), but I'm gonna try nonetheless.
The family is about to start tearing into presents so I've gotta boogie, but I wanted to drop you cats a note to let you know I didn't go down on a plane in some mountain range and resort to cannibalism to survive or anything. Yet. Hope everyone has a great holiday and doesn't get too drunkenly depressed or anything. See y'all in a week, and have fun at Critical Mass, or the roadie night ride, if you're one of THOSE types. ;)
jesus come back already!!!! sparty misses you.
