First Full Moon Cruise of 2009 - "Wolf Moon"!

We're one week, twelve hours, and thirty nine minutes away from the first Full Moon Cruise of the year! The good times roll Saturday, January 10th at 11:59pm. Be on top of the lamar pedestrian bridge with your bike, flashy lights, all your best friends (and hopefully their bikes too), some tunes, beverages, and whatever else you need to be prepared for one of Damon's unbeatable tours of the stranger parts of Austin.

For a little background on this months' full moon, we consult our handy dandy 2009 Farmers' Almanac (what, you don't read the Farmers' Almanac?):

Full Wolf Moon - January Amid the cold and deep snows of midwinter, the wolf packs howled hungrily outside Indian villages. Thus, the name for January's full Moon. Sometimes it was also referred to as the Old Moon, or the Moon After Yule. Some called it the Full Snow Moon, but most tribes applied that name to the next Moon.

Oh damn. You know what this means, right? It means I expect to see AT LEAST three wolf shirts on this ride if not more, and that prospect thrills me to no end.
