Bark at the moon - 2009!

Talk about a howling good time! To begin with, despite the chill weather and late hour we still had somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 people show up for this months installment of the Full Moon Cruise - dubbed the "Wolf Moon" by the people we stole "liberated" these lands from a few hundred years back. I think "Wolf" was translated loosely, because this ride also had tigers, leopards, stripes, spots, fur and all other assortment of animal-inspired accoutrement, it was AWESOME! I was not let down on the wolf shirt front either! Between store bought shirts, stencils, transfers and everything else, there had to be over two dozen people in wolf-inspired gear! The "Lazer Wolf" shirt was BY FAR my favorite, though Kevin's wolfs head leather jacket was pretty badass looking nonetheless. There was plenty howling, barking or otherwise acknowledging the full moon throughout the night, it was excellent. If you didn't make it out, look what you missed:

The view as we arrived on the bridge: PEOPLE EVERYWHERE!

Costumes rule!

This tall bike was AWESOME!

Chilling around a small fire.

Damon's moon and Bob's bike stereo.

As always, (seriously dude you rule) Doug was on the scene to take pictures of the night's festivities, a few of which I've highlighted here. He had a bit of chain trouble on his brand new xtracycle partway through the ride, but managed to get it fixed and catch up with the crowd at our third stop. For those of you less aware than I, that was the one with the bum fires and mini keg of GOOD beer. I swear, Damon really knows how to plan these rides. We got 2 beer-provided stops and the warmth of a quartet of fires this time around, and this was just the FIRST ride of the year! I can't wait to see what he has planned next.

I don't have the full details yet but Damon and Justin managed to pass out out over 175 flyers for a fundraiser that's happening later this month on the 25th, benefiting a fellow biker who was dropped by her sham insurance company when they found out she was diagnosed with cancer. I don't have the full details but as soon as I do you know I'll pass 'em on.

Great to see everybody once again! The calendar is looking pretty clear right now but that's only a mirage, as there are at least 3 events coming up in the next 7 days that I'm awaiting flyer/detail/confirmation on, respectively. We've also got some big races coming up, so be prepared for awesomeness in the future. See you on the streets!

P.S. Thanks again for taking so many pictures Doug! This had added immensely to my ride experience, since not only can I use your pics to spur my memory as to what all went down, but I get to show everybody what they missed out on if they didn't make the ride! Great stuff, dig the new bike.

if anyone lost a pair of headphones on the ride... ive found them.

I just spent an hour at work looking through all the critical mass pictures from the last 6 months. My memory of these events is often pretty foggy for some reason; it's great to see the little details I have forgotten...

... that's pretty much why I take 'em.

Glad I could contribute to your lack of productivity at work! :)
