Bicycle Film Festival 2009 - Submissions needed!
Jeanette Olivas sent me the following message earlier this evening. The Austin leg of the Bicycle Film Festival was a rousing success, so much so that they're making it a stop on the 2009 tour! Not only that, but they're looking for local submissions to fill out their rosters. Make something interesting enough and they'll take your short on tour. Here's all the info:
The Bicycle Film Festival celebrates the bicycle. We are into all styles of bikes and biking. If you can name it-Tall Bike Jousting, Track Bikes, BMX, Alleycats, Critical Mass, Bike Polo, and Cycling to Recumbents- we have probably either ridden or screened it. What better way to celebrate these lifestyles than through art, film, music and performance? We bring together all aspects of bicycling together to advocate its ability to transport us in many ways. Ultimately, the Fest is about having a good time.
Submissions are currently being accepted for the 2009 year and I encourage everyone who is interested to participate. You can find the official submission form and more information at http://bicyclefilmfestival.com/. Act quickly!
The deadline is February 7th.Also, there are opportunities to volunteer before and during the festival with varying degrees of responsibilities. If interested in volunteering or would like more information contact Jeanette at jeanette@bicyclefilmfestival.com.
Keep your ears and eyes open for more information about t he festival as we get closer to summer and ride safe. YAY BIKES!!!
