Aautbruac rides again!

The leader of those wacky off-road fixed gear riders just posted the following to the forum:

First like to thank Jason for posting up this ride - weeks back....Aautbruac, never did see him make it out there though!? Last week after the ride, played bike polo - was cool! plan to do it again this week.

Aautbruac (Austin area united, trail bicycle riders un-able to coast) rides have been happening - this Sunday will be the fourth meeting. the first 2 rides had 4 riders show, last week just 2, but did meet a unicycle rider in the parking lot. He said their group meets at the same time, and once had 7 off-road unicycles show up! Sunday 2/1/09 at Walnut Creek park 12:00 noon, meet at pool parking lot - picnic tables.

Only requirement is that your bike does not freewheel/coast......otherwise known as fixed gear, trails will be ridden - so mtb's are highly recommended. WC is the first of many planned rides of Aautbruac. I also post on bike mojo austin speak forum.....same zes, emevas name.

12:00pm Sunday at Walnut Creek. Fixed gear off-road bikes only, but this term is rather mutable. As long as the pedals spin when the wheel does and your tires have some grip you should be ok, though there may be a few features at the 'nut that you have to walk. Who ever said it was gonna be easy?

Guess I really do need to swap the tires on my fixed gear cyclocross bike...
