Tune into KVRX at 7:30pm for an interview with Cycling Engineer Nathan Wilkes
I strolled into work late this morning after a couple hours of riding around downtown mapping bike racks and plotting new locations for them* to the welcome sight of several event updates, notifications and the like just waiting for me in my email box. I'll be posting them throughout the day as I have a few moments to spare...
First off, tonight there's going to be a radio show on KVRX around 7:30pm which is probably right up y'alls alley. The host is Jason Fialkoff, local cyclist extraordinarie, and and the subject of the interview is City of Austin Bicycle Program Engineer (and long-time YBP coordinator/contributor) Nathan Wilkes. They're going to be discussing ongoing cycling projects and concerns, as well as the LOBV's Project Catapult and the rise in Austin bicycling culture in general. Remember to tune into 91.7fm at 7:30, or just cruise over to the website to listen online. Thanks for the heads-up Jason!
* If you know of a place within the confines of MLK and 13th to the north and south, and West and Congress to the east and west that could use a U-shaped bike rack, let me know.
that show didn't go as planned since we had technical issues until about ten minutes in. anyway, i hope our discussion was somewhat informative. in the end i tried to list all the events coming up and i just ended up sending people to this website. anyway, thanks again and keep rolling.
for anyone who missed the show, they can catch an edited version here: http://dialecticaradio.blogspot.com/2009/02/dialectica-radio-show-sixtee...
