And now for a very special picture post...

The following pictures (from this gallery) were all taken by Kevin or Jamie, and highlight the main reason I even show up for this shit, or write my crappy web log: ALL OF Y'ALL! Kevin did a great job of capturing a bunch of the faces and personalities that make these rides what they are, so I wanted to make a special entry for JUST FOR YOU...

James. Badass photographer, cool dude, and behind that wild looking beard exists one of the nicest riders I know.

JK, one of the crazy stuntas always holdin' it down for the fixed gear crew.

Wilse. The picture says it all.

William, who's exuberance for life and bikes is positively infectious.

Rachael Love, probably the first person I met at Critical Mass and BY FAR the coolest person on the planet. If you're one of her friends consider yourself blessed.

Nikol, one of the relatively newer faces on the rides that ALWAYS seems to be smiling and having fun. Plus dressing for the theme never hurts...

Pirate Joe. Always a pirate, always awesome.

Tallbike, lowrider, fixed gear, road bike, unicycle, Andy can (and does) ride ANYTHING.

Whiteside, the man, the poet, the legend.

Boone, tall bike builder, welder, mad scientist, and recipient of my vote for most likely to take over the world with an army of hybrid bicycle-robot automatons.

Kevin. He's a great friend and an amazing photographer (taker of these pics) who will ALWAYS be be dressed sharper than me. ALWAYS.

Jamie, a brilliant photographer who wouldn't talk to me for the first few rides we did together. Now my favorite person in the world for a million and one reasons, most of which are unpublishable.

And finally...

ME!

I've never been happier in my life than I've been since I started riding Critical Mass. I know that correlation does not equal causation, but I also know that a lot of who I am and what I do now began back in March a couple years ago when I attended my first Critical Mass, back when there were only around 50 people a month doing the rides. Now two years later we have over 500, with no end to the growth in sight. And who's fault is that? ALL OF Y'ALL! THANK YOU EVERYBODY!

P.S. If I left you out don't feel bad, it just means that Kevin or Jamie didn't take a dope picture of you this time around. That... or maybe I hate you. ;)
