Bikes + Bacon = Bacon Ride! AWESOME!

Update: Just go a flyer for this event, which lists the time as 2:00pm and the place as "Where Chicon hits the river". There you go kiddos! Bring your bike, the bacon will already be there. The flyer also ominiously stated "SPECIAL BACON CHALLENGE AT THE FINISH". Awesome.

I wanted to sit on this one for a little while so that your interest would still be piqued and your appetite still whet when the event rolled around, but look what's in store for you in a couple weeks' time:

i'm putting together the first bacon bike ride in austin, march 21st, 1:30 pm meet up time, at fiesta gardens, starting point may be subject to change, but the basic concept is eating bacon in the early afternoon, drinking beer or whatever, and then going on a mellow ride with a special surprise bacon challenge at the end. i'll have a flyer to send you soon, but i figure three weeks is early enough to start creating awareness. i will provide the straight up pig flesh bacon, and fake bacon for the vegetarians and non fat and meat enthusiasts. all people have to bring is their bikes, their beer, and their appetites. it's the last saturday of sxsw and the first saturday of spring, the perfect day for an afternoon grease cruise.

OH SHIT. I always say that everything is better if you add bacon, and now it looks like bikes'll be falling in that category too. Dashiell, you're my hero. See y'all there!
