Come to the City Council Candidate Forum TONIGHT!
Welcome to the first test of our new "Mass Contact" module. I'm sending a message out to all the members of the site because I think it's THAT IMPORTANT that you show up to this meeting. You're probably aware of the fact already but Austin city policy is set by a couple locals known as "City Council". They're the big movers and shakers that get shit done, and for whom the rest of the city really work for. Thankfully we can elect or not elect those members as we see fit. If you want to know what the latest candidates think about bike issues, please show up to this event:

Austin City Council Bicycle Candidate Forum (sponsored by the League of Bicycling Voters, Austin Cycling Association and Yellow Bike Project)
Monday, March 23
6-9 p.m.
St. David’s Episcopal Church
304 E 7th St
Austin, TX 78701
My ulterior motive for sending this is to test the new module, and if it works to phase out my mailing list and migrate to this method of reaching the ATXBS crowd. The short reason is we've been having problems with the old list, plus the website membership dwarfs the mailing list membership by a 3:1 ratio. Using the website member list means we reach a much wider audience, and in this kind of events' case that's a good thing. If you don't want to receive these mass messages you can change the setting under the "My Account" area in the right bar to block them. Sorry if this annoys you, but if this is the first time you've been annoyed by my website then you're doing pretty good. If this shit really really pisses you off, just let me know at Jason@ATXBS.com.
See you out there.
Jason
